The Decision of the Press Council of Kosovo on the Appeal of Nezir Sinani, U.D. Manager for Communication in KEK (Kosovo Energy Corporation), filed against the newspaper “Infopress”.
8 March 2008The Press Council of Kosovo, in Prishtina, after considering the appeal of KEK, filed against the newspaper “Infopress” regarding the Article published in the newspaper: “A salary raise of 30% is promised” in the session held on 28.02.2008, took this:

R E A S O N I N G
The Press Council of Kosovo reviewed the documentation provided by the newspaper “Infopress” based on what we found that Mr. Remzi Shahini, the manager director of KEK, had reached the agreement to propose the Board of KEK to raise the salary by 30%, but here, not including the managerial level of KEK.
The Press Council of Kosovo, based on the facts mentioned and established above, finds that the newspaper “Infopress” in its Article: “The salary raise of 30% is promised” has considered this information without deformation, because the agreement itself stands for a promise to raise the salaries of employees by 30%. Therefore, The Press Council of Kosovo, considers that the newspaper “Infopress” has not violated the Code of Press, because the published information is accurate.
Based on the above, it was decided as in the enacting clause of this decision.
