Complaint uphold
Hasan Jashari, a lawyer in Pristina, has presented to the Press Council of Kosovo complaint on May 12, 2010, against the newspaper "Kosova Sot", claiming that the newspaper "Kosova Sot" has not published his response against writing published on April 14, 2010, in the newspaper "Kosova Sot" titled: "When bad-journalists (journalist-wanna-be`s) share justice?".
The complaint has attached a copy of the response of lawyers Hasan Jashari, which the newspaper "Kosova Sot" not published. The reaction has been sent to the newspaper "Kosova Sot" by e-mail and by letter, both the complainant has presented as evidence.
PCK, after examining and evaluating the complaint and the response of Hasan Jashari, Lulzim Rexha plaintiff's lawyer, former employee of the printing house of Interpress R.
Company "Kosova Sot" who had suffered an accident at work in 2004 having lost his right hand up under the elbow, found that newspaper "Kosova Sot" by not publishing the attorney's response Hasan Jashari, has violated the Code Chapter IV of Print Media (the right to respond), exactly one point of Chapter IV of the Code of print media in Kosovo, under which is established the obligation of newspapers to publish feedback or response (answer, reaction), when the media publishes inaccurate information about any individual.
PCK found that newspaper "Kosova Sot" has to find common language with Hasan Jashari lawyer to prepare for publication a compressed version of his long letter in reply.
PCK based on the factual situation as stated above, decided on this decision as noted in the sub title (dispasitive).
